These pages are a demo for the Farmers Marketing package, which is intended to provide small, local farmers with simple, effective web pages at reasonable cost. Click here to visit the designer's site.
The basic package includes a site, much like this one, with a few different pages to tell local customers what crops are available and where to buy them. It also includes a listing, new or updated, with Local Harvest, which will help make more customers aware of your farm.
Pricing
- Basics
- The basic package includes a website customized from this template, with a simple banner image and a handful of pages. The menu can be a vertical sidebar, as on this page, or run horizontally under the banner. To see an example of the different options, click here or on the "About" link in the sidebar. The client must provide the text for the pages and specify the colors to be used. This package is $400.
- Blog
- A blog can be included, which makes it easy for you to post updates on what is available in any month or season or to simply talk about your farm. This is an extra $50, or $100 if you want the blog layout matched to the appearance of your website. This can be added to an existing site later on. Click here to see an example of what the blog entries would look like embedded into your site, or click on the "News" link in the sidebar.
- Images
- A simple banner image and one picture per page is included in the basic package. More images can be added, either photos of your own farm and produce or stock images that meet your approval. This is approximately $25 per extra image, though this may vary a little depending on how much the image needs to be altered.
- Hosting
- If you do not have a web host, we can arrange the registration of a domain name and hosting for the site. This costs $80 per year. If you do not wish to host your site through Glass Pen, we will be happy to help you register with another provider.
